Human MPEG1/Macrophage-expressed gene 1 protein ELISA Kit

A sandwich-format, double-antibody ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of human MPEG1, also known as Macrophage-expressed gene 1 protein, Macrophage gene 1 protein, and Mpg-1 (Uniprot Q2M385). The kit supports immunology research into MPEG1, a protein predominantly expressed in macrophages and implicated in immune response and inflammation. It is reactive with human samples and validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid sample types.

The assay has a reported sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a working range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. Components are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months. The workflow includes a 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, biotin-labeled detection antibody binding, HRP-streptavidin (SABC) incubation, TMB substrate development in the dark, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm after adding stop solution. Sample-specific preparation notes cover serum (clotting, centrifugation at 1000 × g for 20 minutes), plasma (anticoagulant tubes, 1000 × g for 15 minutes at 2–8°C), tissue homogenate, cell culture supernatant, and cell lysate.

Linearity at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions is reported as 95–105%, 86–102%, and 85–102% for serum (n = 5); 83–96%, 84–94%, and 83–97% for EDTA plasma (n = 5); and 84–99%, 86–95%, and 91–99% for heparin plasma (n = 5). Recovery averages are 100% for serum (range 93–105%), 94% for EDTA plasma (range 85–102%), and 96% for heparin plasma (range 91–101%).
