Human/Mouse Phospho-p38 alpha (T180/Y182) and Total p38 PharmaGenie ELISA Kit (SBRS1916)

Phosphorylation ELISA kit from Assay Genie that quantifies both the activated, dual-phosphorylated form of p38 alpha mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) at threonine 180 and tyrosine 182, and total p38 alpha protein, in a single well. This dual readout removes the need to run parallel phospho- and total-protein immunoblots and supports direct normalization of pathway activation to total kinase levels within the same lysate.

The microplate-based assay is intended for use with cell lysates and tissue lysates prepared from human or mouse sources. It supports studies of inflammatory signaling, cellular stress responses, cytokine stimulation, and small-molecule pathway inhibition in cultured cells or in vivo models. Typical workflows include stimulating cells with pathway activators such as anisomycin, TNF-alpha, or IL-1, or treating them with selective p38 or MKK inhibitors, then comparing the ratio of phosphorylated to total p38 alpha as a measure of upstream MKK3/MKK6 activity.

Capture and detection reagents are supplied in vials ready to load onto the included microplate, with an absorbance-based readout on standard plate readers. The kit is intended for research use only and should be stored refrigerated; repeated freeze-thaw cycles of the supplied reagents should be avoided to preserve antibody binding activity.
