Quantitative measurement of tyrosine-phosphorylated MEK1 from Assay Genie supports researchers investigating MAPK/ERK pathway activation in cell lysates and tissue lysates. MEK1 (MAP2K1) is a dual-specificity kinase within the RAF/MEK/ERK cascade, and phosphorylation of its tyrosine residues provides a direct readout of upstream kinase activity driven by growth factors, oncogenic Ras or Raf mutations, or pharmacologic pathway inhibitors.
