SMAD5 is a receptor-regulated SMAD (R-SMAD) that acts as a transcriptional modulator activated by BMP (bone morphogenetic proteins) type 1 receptor kinase. As a key mediator of the TGF-β signaling pathway, it regulates cell growth, differentiation, and development, and its dysregulation has been linked to cancer, fibrosis, and cardiovascular disorders.

The kit uses a colorimetric detection method with a detection range of 0.312-20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.097 ng/mL.
