Human Mothers against decapentaplegic homolog 1 (SMAD1) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for quantitative detection of human Mothers against decapentaplegic homolog 1 (SMAD1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit has a detection range of 15.6-1000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 8.9pg/mL.

Intra-assay CV is reported at 5.5% and inter-assay CV at 9.8%. Specificity is for natural and recombinant human SMAD1. Linearity across dilutions of 1:2 to 1:16 ranges from 84-108% for serum, 81-110% for EDTA plasma, and 84-120% for heparin plasma. Recovery is 94-106% for serum and 96-108% for plasma.

SMAD1 is a receptor-regulated SMAD (R-SMAD) that functions as a transcriptional modulator activated by BMP type 1 receptor kinase, participating in cell growth, differentiation and development.
