Human Monofunctional C1-tetrahydrofolate synthase, mitochondrial (MTHFD1L) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative detection of human Monofunctional C1-tetrahydrofolate synthase, mitochondrial (MTHFD1L) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is specific for natural and recombinant human MTHFD1L, with a detection range of 1.56–100 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.12 ng/mL. Readout is colorimetric, determined by optical density at 450 nm.

MTHFD1L is a mitochondrial homodimer (UniProt Q6UB35) that may provide the missing metabolic reaction required to link the mitochondria and the cytoplasm in the mammalian model of one-carbon folate metabolism, complementing the enzymatic activities of MTHFD2. Reported precision values are an intra-assay CV of 6.4% and an inter-assay CV of 10.3%. Linearity was demonstrated across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions in serum (105–122%), EDTA plasma (99–119%) and heparin plasma (90–116%). Recovery averaged 110% (range 104–116%) for serum and 112% (range 106–118%) for plasma. For research use only.
