Description

A sandwich ELISA, double antibody kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of human Monoacylglycerol Lipase (MAGL) using a colorimetric method. The assay is reactive with human samples and has been validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

Linearity across serial dilutions (1:2, 1:4, 1:8) was reported as: serum (n=5) 85-105%, 87-96%, 87-95%; EDTA plasma (n=5) 82-98%, 87-100%, 83-101%; and heparin plasma (n=5) 84-99%, 83-92%, 81-100%. Spike-and-recovery values were reported as: serum (n=5) 85-105% with an average of 96%, EDTA plasma (n=5) 85-105% with an average of 95%, and heparin plasma (n=5) 85-100% with an average of 97%. The kit is stored at 2-8°C for 12 months, and the protein target is identified by UniProt accession Q99685.

Monoacylglycerol lipase is described as an enzyme that plays a key role in the breakdown of monoglycerides, influencing lipid metabolism and signalling pathways, with dysregulation linked to research into cancer, inflammatory disorders, and neurological conditions. The kit is positioned as a tool for researchers studying the role of MAGL in health and disease.
