Multimerin-1 is a protein involved in blood coagulation and platelet adhesion, contributing to vascular integrity and homeostasis. Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Performance specifications are a sensitivity of 46.875 pg/mL and an assay range of 78.125–5000 pg/mL. Linearity in serum (n=5) is 85–105% across 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions; EDTA plasma (n=5) 83–100%; Heparin plasma (n=5) 80–100%. Average recovery values are 97% for serum, 93% for EDTA plasma, and 92% for Heparin plasma. Assay steps include primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody incubation for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, TMB colour development for 10–20 minutes in the dark, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm after stop solution.
