Human MMP7 ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA, Double Antibody assay from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of human Matrix Metalloproteinase-7 (MMP-7), also known as matrilysin. The kit is intended for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and uses a colorimetric detection method with absorbance read at 450 nm following TMB substrate development.

Linearity data supplied with the kit covers serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilution factors of 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8, with reported recoveries of 85–98% (average 95%) for serum, 88–104% (average 94%) for EDTA plasma, and 86–101% (average 92%) for heparin plasma. Reagents are stored at 2–8 °C for up to 12 months.

MMP-7 is described as a key enzyme involved in the breakdown of extracellular matrix proteins, playing a role in tissue remodelling and cell migration. Dysregulation of MMP-7 has been implicated in pathological conditions including cancer, inflammatory diseases, and tissue injury, supporting its use as a biomarker for studying these diseases and potential therapeutic interventions.
