Matrix metalloproteinase-7 (MMP-7), also called matrilysin or PUMP-1, is the smallest secreted member of the MMP family and cleaves extracellular matrix substrates such as fibronectin, laminin, type IV collagen, and E-cadherin. The Assay Genie Human MMP-7 PharmaGenie ELISA Kit is configured for quantitative measurement of MMP-7 in cell culture supernatants from human-derived samples, supporting research into epithelial remodeling, mucosal innate immunity, and tumor microenvironment biology.

Because MMP-7 is stored in the granules of epithelial cells and released upon stimulation, supernatant-based measurement is a standard readout for studies of intestinal organoid cultures, colorectal and pancreatic carcinoma cell lines, and inflammatory challenge models. The kit is supplied for 96 assays in a ready-to-use microwell plate format with all reagents required for the in vitro assay workflow, and is intended for research use only.
