Human MMP-13 ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a Sandwich ELISA kit for the quantitative measurement of human Matrix Metalloproteinase 13 (MMP-13), also known as Collagenase 3 (UniProt P45452). The double-antibody sandwich format is designed for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples, with colorimetric detection.

Reagents should be stored at 2–8°C and remain stable for 12 months under those conditions. MMP-13 is a key enzyme involved in extracellular matrix remodeling, and elevated levels have been observed in conditions such as arthritis, cancer, and cardiovascular disorders, supporting its use as a biomarker for disease progression research.

Performance is documented with linearity and recovery data. In linearity testing (n=5), serum samples ranged from 86–96% at 1:2, 82–91% at 1:4, and 85–98% at 1:8; EDTA plasma ranged from 92–102%, 84–101%, and 80–100%; heparin plasma ranged from 99–104%, 86–92%, and 82–95% at the same dilutions. Spike-and-recovery averaged 95% in serum (range 85–103%), 97% in EDTA plasma (range 91–104%), and 99% in heparin plasma (range 97–104%).
