The Assay Genie Human MLK2 ELISA Kit is built around quantification of mixed lineage kinase 2 (MAP3K10), a brain-enriched serine/threonine kinase that acts as an upstream MAP3K to activate JNK and stress-activated MAPK signaling through MKK4 and MKK7. MLK2 contains an N-terminal SH3 domain, a central leucine zipper, and a C-terminal kinase domain, and it has been implicated in neuronal apoptosis, cytoskeletal remodeling, and excitotoxic cell death relevant to neurodegeneration research.
