Human Mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase 5 (MAP3K5) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit enables quantitative measurement of Mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase 5 (MAP3K5), also referred to as Apoptosis signal-regulating kinase 1, ASK-1, MEK kinase 5, ASK1, MAPKKK5, MEKK5 and MAPK/ERK kinase kinase 5. The assay is configured for human samples and accepts serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.196ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 7.2%, and an inter-assay CV of 11.6%.

Linearity has been validated across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16. For serum (N=5), recoveries ranged 82-92%, 104-114%, 81-90% and 89-99% at the respective dilutions. EDTA Plasma (N=5) showed 96-105%, 116-126%, 87-96% and 100-109%, while Heparin Plasma (N=5) showed 80-88%, 111-119%, 91-100% and 89-100%. Overall recovery averaged 86% (range 80-92) in serum and 88% (range 82-94) in plasma. The kit recognises natural and recombinant human MAP3K5.

MAP3K5/ASK1 is a serine/threonine kinase and a key regulator of intracellular signalling pathways, playing a vital role in cell growth, differentiation and apoptosis; its dysregulation has been linked to cancer, inflammatory conditions and neurodegenerative disorders.
