Human MITF ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA is a colorimetric, double-antibody assay for the quantitative measurement of MITF (Microphthalmia-associated transcription factor) in human samples. It is supplied by the manufacturer in 48T/96T plate formats and accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate and other liquid samples, with components to be stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

The kit achieves a sensitivity of 0.375 ng/mL with a working range of 0.625-40 ng/mL. Reported linearity across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 falls within 80-104% for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Spike-and-recovery performance averages 97% in serum (range 94-101%), 93% in EDTA plasma (range 85-104%) and 93% in heparin plasma (range 85-105%). The procedure uses a biotinylated detection antibody followed by HRP-Streptavidin binding and TMB color development, with absorbance read at 450 nm after stop solution. MITF is implicated in melanocyte development, melanogenesis and melanoma progression, supporting research in skin pigmentation disorders and related disease.
