Human Mineralocorticoid receptor (NR3C2) ELISA Kit

The kit provides a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.081ng/mL. Precision is supported by an intra-assay CV of 6.1% and an inter-assay CV of 8.9%. Linearity has been characterised in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 (N=5). Recovery averages 103% (range 97-109%) for serum and 105% (range 99-111%) for plasma.

Encoded by the NR3C2 gene, the mineralocorticoid receptor acts as a receptor for mineralocorticoids such as aldosterone and glucocorticoids such as corticosterone or cortisol, binding mineralocorticoid response elements to transactivate target genes and increasing ion and water transport, thereby raising extracellular fluid volume and blood pressure while lowering potassium levels.
