For quantitative measurement of human MID2 protein levels in research applications. MID2 is a probable E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase containing a RING finger domain, B-box zinc finger, and coiled-coil regions, and serves as a close homolog of the MID1 protein implicated in X-linked Opitz G/BBB syndrome. It binds the Alpha4 (IGBP1) regulatory subunit of protein phosphatase 2A and localizes to the microtubule cytoskeleton, linking ubiquitin-proteasome signaling to cytoskeletal regulation and neural development. Investigators apply this Assay Genie kit to studies of TRIM family E3 ligase biology, Opitz syndrome mechanisms, and biomarker research, with a 100 uL sample volume per well.
