Human MICS1/GHITM ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA using a double-antibody format from Assay Genie, designed to quantify MICS1 (Mitochondrial Inheritance Control 1), also known as GHITM, in human samples. The kit is suitable for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, with a colorimetric readout using TMB substrate measured at 450 nm.

Performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a standard range of 0.313-20 ng/mL. Recovery values are: serum (n=5) 88-98% with an average of 95%; EDTA plasma (n=5) 85-105% with an average of 95%; and heparin plasma (n=5) 85-104% with an average of 96%. Linearity across 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions is 88-102%, 85-98%, and 86-105% for serum; 84-99%, 82-101%, and 87-100% for EDTA plasma; and 86-93%, 88-100%, and 86-98% for heparin plasma. The kit is intended for the Cell Death research area and is stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

The procedure includes reagent and plate preparation, a primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin (SABC) binding for 30 minutes, TMB color development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and a stop reaction with absorbance reading at 450 nm. Kit components comprise a dismountable ELISA microplate, lyophilized standard, biotin-labeled antibody (100X), HRP-streptavidin conjugate (SABC, 100X), TMB substrate, sample dilution buffer, antibody dilution buffer, SABC dilution buffer, stop solution, wash buffer (25X), plate sealer, and a technical manual.
