Human Microtubule-associated proteins 1A/1B light chain 3B (MAP1LC3B) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Microtubule-associated proteins 1A/1B light chain 3B (MAP1LC3B), a ubiquitin-like modifier involved in the formation of autophagosomal vacuoles and in mitophagy, which contributes to regulating mitochondrial quantity and quality by eliminating mitochondria to a basal level to fulfil cellular energy requirements and prevent excess ROS production. The kit is intended for research use only and supports studies relevant to autophagy-related pathways, with a listed research area of cancer.

Validated sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with specificity for natural and recombinant human MAP1LC3B. The kit has a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.078 ng/mL. Reported precision is 5.3% (intra-assay CV) and 7.5% (inter-assay CV). Linearity was evaluated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions: serum showed 100-112%, 94-106%, 81-90% and 102-110%; EDTA plasma showed 90-100%, 80-90%, 102-112% and 85-95%; and heparin plasma showed 109-119%, 95-104%, 103-116% and 108-117%. Mean recovery is 85% (range 80-91%) for serum and 87% (range 81-93%) for plasma.

MAP1LC3B is a subunit of the neuronal microtubule-associated MAP1A and MAP1B proteins and has been implicated in microtubule assembly, neurogenesis and the autophagic degradation of cytoplasmic components.
