Human Microsomal Triglyceride Transfer Protein (MTTP) ELISA Kit

Microsomal Triglyceride Transfer Protein (MTTP) catalyzes the transport of triglycerides, cholesteryl esters, and phospholipids across the endoplasmic reticulum membrane, a step essential for the assembly and secretion of apolipoprotein B-containing lipoproteins including very-low-density lipoproteins (VLDL) and chylomicrons. Genetic deficiency of MTTP causes abetalipoproteinemia, while altered MTTP expression is implicated in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, dyslipidemia, insulin resistance, and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. This Assay Genie immunoassay provides quantitative measurement of MTTP protein and has been validated for the detection of human, mouse, and rat MTTP in hepatic and intestinal tissue lysates.
