Recovery averages 96% in serum (range 90-102%) and 98% in plasma (range 92-104%). Linearity has been validated in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16.

MTTP catalyzes the transport of triglyceride, cholesteryl ester, and phospholipid between phospholipid surfaces and is required for the secretion of plasma lipoproteins that contain apolipoprotein B; the protein localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum.
