Human Microphthalmia-associated transcription factor (MITF) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a Sandwich ELISA kit designed for the quantitative measurement of human Microphthalmia-associated transcription factor (MITF) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is specific for natural and recombinant human MITF and is intended for research use only.

The kit provides a detection range of 0.625–40 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.35 ng/mL. Reported precision values include an intra-assay CV of 5.2% and an inter-assay CV of 9.1%. Recovery performance is given as 97% (range 91–103%) for serum and 99% (range 93–105%) for plasma.

MITF is a nuclear transcription factor containing both basic helix-loop-helix and leucine zipper features. It plays a critical role in the differentiation of various cell types, including neural crest-derived melanocytes, mast cells, osteoclasts and optic cup-derived retinal pigment epithelium, and is relevant to immunological research.
