Human MGMT ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA, Double Antibody assay from Assay Genie designed for the quantification of MGMT (O-6-Methylguanine-DNA Methyltransferase) in human samples. The kit is reactive with human specimens and validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, supporting research in Epigenetics and Nuclear Signaling.

MGMT is a key enzyme involved in DNA repair, specifically removing alkyl groups from the O-6 position of guanine, thereby preventing mutations and maintaining genomic stability. Dysregulation of MGMT activity has been implicated in diseases such as cancer, neurological disorders, and drug resistance, making it a potential biomarker for disease progression and therapeutic response. Components are shipped at +4°C and stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

The procedure includes reagent and plate preparation, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody binding at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin binding at 37°C for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm after stop solution addition.
