Human MGEA5 (Protein O-GlcNAcase) ELISA Kit (HUFI08724)

O-GlcNAcase (MGEA5) is a nucleocytoplasmic glycoside hydrolase that catalyzes the hydrolytic removal of O-linked N-acetylglucosamine from serine and threonine residues of substrate proteins. This Assay Genie ELISA is used to quantify endogenous human OGA levels for studies of the hexosamine biosynthetic pathway, tau phosphorylation in neurodegeneration, and O-GlcNAc cycling in metabolic disease research.

The kit provides a pre-coated microplate, lyophilized recombinant standards, biotinylated capture antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, concentrated wash buffer, chromogenic TMB substrate, and stop solution. Reconstituted components should be aliquoted and stored frozen at -20 degrees C to preserve activity through multiple freeze-thaw cycles. Unopened kit components are refrigerated until the printed expiration date.

Each microplate is supplied as a single-use strip configuration, with sensitivity suitable for detecting low-abundance endogenous OGA. The capture antibody is human-specific and has been validated against endogenous MGEA5 in cell lysate matrices.
