The MFSD8 (Major Facilitator Superfamily Domain Containing 8) protein, also designated CLN7, is a lysosomal membrane transporter implicated in neuronal ceroid lipofuscinosis type 7, a recessive neurodegenerative lysosomal storage disorder within the Batten disease family. This Assay Genie quantitative immunoassay enables measurement of circulating MFSD8 in human serum and plasma samples, supporting research into CLN7 variant pathology, lysosomal dysfunction biomarkers, and inherited neurodegenerative disease mechanisms. The kit uses a microplate pre-coated with capture antibody, with a standard sample volume of 100 µL per well.
