Human MFRP (Membrane frizzled-related protein) ELISA KIT (HUFI05062)

Quantitative measurement of circulating human Membrane frizzled-related protein (MFRP) supports research into ocular development, axial eye growth, and refractive error genetics. The Assay Genie microplate immunoassay kit enables quantitation of MFRP in human samples. MFRP is a type II transmembrane protein predominantly expressed in the retinal pigment epithelium and ciliary body, where it contributes to eye size regulation during development. Loss-of-function mutations and sequence variants in the MFRP gene on chromosome 11q23 have been linked to nanophthalmos, posterior microphthalmia, and high myopia, which is why serum-based quantification of the protein is of interest in ophthalmologic and translational research.

The kit is supplied as a complete package containing a coated microplate, detection antibodies, calibrator standards, and protocol documentation, and is configured for 96 individual sample determinations using an absorbance-based readout. Intended for research use only, the assay is compatible with human serum samples, and reagents should be equilibrated to room temperature before the run.
