Human Methionine aminopeptidase 2 (METAP2) ELISA Kit

Designed for the precise detection of human Methionine aminopeptidase 2 (METAP2), this Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is intended for research use only. Validated for use with human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids, the assay provides a detection range of 0.78–50 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.39 ng/mL. Reported precision values are an intra-assay CV of 7.6% and an inter-assay CV of 8.9%. The kit is specific to natural and recombinant human METAP2 and is classified under Epigenetics research. Recovery has been validated at an average of 102% for serum (range 96–108%) and 104% for plasma (range 98–110%).

METAP2 cotranslationally removes the N-terminal methionine from nascent proteins and protects the alpha subunit of eukaryotic initiation factor 2 from inhibitory phosphorylation. Dysregulation of the enzyme has been linked to cancer and inflammatory disorders, making it a target of interest for therapeutic and biomarker research.
