Human Metaxin-3 (MTX3) ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Metaxin-3 (MTX3) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit detects natural and recombinant human Metaxin-3 with a reported sensitivity of 0.067 ng/mL and a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL. Reported intra-assay CV is 5.5% and inter-assay CV is 9.6%.

Metaxin-3 is a mitochondrial outer membrane protein (UniProt Q5HYI7) that may function in the transport of proteins into the mitochondrion and belongs to the metaxin family. Dysregulation of the protein has been linked to neurodegenerative disorders and metabolic conditions, making it a biomarker of interest for mitochondrial, cell biology and metabolism research. The kit is intended for research use only.

The assay is a colorimetric sandwich ELISA run on a pre-coated microplate, with absorbance read at 450 nm following TMB substrate development. Supplied components include a lyophilized standard, biotin-labeled detection antibody, HRP-streptavidin conjugate, sample, assay and wash buffers, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers.
