Human Metaxin-2 (MTX2) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie supplies a sandwich-format ELISA for the quantitative detection of human Metaxin-2 (MTX2), a mitochondrial outer membrane protein involved in the import of proteins into the mitochondrion. The kit is intended for research use only and has been validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

Detection is performed using a colorimetric ELISA method, with a stated detection range of 0.156-10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.11 ng/mL. Reported precision values are an intra-assay CV of 5.1% and an inter-assay CV of 10.2%. The assay recognises both natural and recombinant human Metaxin-2.

Linearity has been characterised across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at serial dilutions, with sample recovery values ranging from 80-94% depending on matrix. Dysfunction of Metaxin-2 has been linked to neurodegenerative disorders and metabolic conditions, supporting its use as a biomarker in mitochondrial and disease research.
