Human Metaxin-1 (MTX1) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's Sandwich ELISA kit is intended for the detection of human Metaxin-1 (MTX1) levels in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, for research use only.

Per the manufacturer datasheet, the assay covers a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.067 ng/mL. Reported precision is 5.5% intra-assay CV and 9.6% inter-assay CV. Specificity is described for natural and recombinant human Metaxin-1. Linearity testing (N=5) at dilution factors from 1:2 to 1:16 produced ranges of 85–115% for serum, 81–122% for EDTA plasma and 81–117% for heparin plasma. Mean recovery was 103% for serum (range 97–109%) and 105% for plasma (range 99–111%).

Metaxin-1 is a single-pass type I membrane protein located in the mitochondrial outer membrane, involved in transport of proteins into the mitochondrion and essential for embryonic development.
