Human Metastasis-suppressor KiSS-1 (KISS1) ELISA Kit

Designed by Assay Genie for the quantitative, colorimetric detection of human Metastasis-suppressor KiSS-1, also known as Kisspeptin-1 and PP5098 (UniProt Q15726), this sandwich ELISA is reactive with human samples and specifically recognises natural and recombinant KISS-1. It is validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids, and is intended for cancer research use only.

Reported performance figures include a detection range of 62.5-4000pg/mL, a sensitivity of 31.2pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 3.5% and an inter-assay CV of 5.9%. Dilutional linearity for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma is reported across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions, with serum recovery of 80-85% and plasma recovery of 80-87%.

KISS-1 is a secreted metastasis suppressor protein active in malignant melanomas and some breast cancers, generating the C-terminally amidated peptide metastin, which is the endogenous ligand of the G-protein coupled receptor GPR54.
