Human Metallothionein 1M (MT1M) ELISA Kit

The Metallothionein 1M (MT1M) protein belongs to the cysteine-rich metallothionein family, which binds divalent metal ions including zinc, copper, and cadmium, supporting heavy-metal detoxification, oxidative-stress defense, and trace-element homeostasis. Quantitative profiling of MT1M in clinical and experimental specimens is increasingly applied in metal-exposure toxicology, hepatic and renal injury studies, and oncology research, where altered metallothionein expression has been associated with tumor progression and chemoresistance.

This Assay Genie kit is configured as a microplate-based ELISA with pre-coated wells and all reagents supplied for 96 assays. The assay uses a human-specific antibody pair and is intended for research use only in in vitro laboratory workflows. Unopened components should be refrigerated; reconstituted standards and working aliquots should be stored frozen and protected from light to preserve activity through multiple freeze-thaw cycles. Specimen inputs may be drawn from human plasma, isolated serum fractions, tissue homogenates, or cultured-cell lysates.
