Human Metabotropic glutamate receptor 5 (GRM5) ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Metabotropic glutamate receptor 5 (GRM5; also known as mGluR5, GPRC1E or MGLUR5) in research samples. GRM5 is a G-protein coupled receptor for glutamate that mediates glutamatergic signalling in the brain, with dysregulation implicated in conditions such as schizophrenia, depression and neurodegenerative disorders. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is for research use only.

Quantitative performance is reported as a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL with a sensitivity of 39.4pg/mL. Intra-assay CV is 5.8% and inter-assay CV is 8.9%. Dilutional linearity has been validated in serum (103-113%, 99-108%, 92-103%, 105-113%), EDTA plasma (100-110%, 92-101%, 94-103%, 102-111%) and heparin plasma (117-126%, 108-117%, 96-105%, 80-90%) across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16. Spike-and-recovery is 98% (range 92-104%) in serum and 100% (range 94-106%) in plasma.

The kit has been validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids, and shows specificity for natural and recombinant human GRM5. It is intended for the Neurosciences research area.
