Human Melanotransferrin/CD228 ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a Sandwich ELISA Kit designed for the quantitative detection of human Melanotransferrin (also known as CD228, Uniprot P08582). The kit is intended for research use and is reactive with human samples, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid sample types.

Reported assay performance includes a detection range of 31.25-2000 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL. Dilutional linearity across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions is reported within ranges such as 87-95%, 85-98% and 83-99% for serum; 85-101%, 86-94% and 85-97% for EDTA plasma; and 87-100%, 86-99% and 80-98% for heparin plasma. Spike-and-recovery performance is reported as recovery ranges of 89-103% (average 96%) for serum, 89-105% (average 95%) for EDTA plasma, and 88-102% (average 93%) for heparin plasma.

Storage is specified at 2-8°C for 12 months. The workflow involves a primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody incubation at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after stop solution addition.
