Human Medium-chain specific acyl-CoA dehydrogenase, mitochondrial (ACADM) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Medium-chain specific acyl-CoA dehydrogenase, mitochondrial, also referred to by the synonyms ACADM and MCAD. It is reactive with human samples and validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with colorimetric readout.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 40.1pg/mL. Precision is given as an intra-assay CV of 5.3% and inter-assay CV of 6.6%. Linearity has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16. Recovery is reported at an average of 98% (range 92-104%) for serum and 100% (range 94-106%) for plasma. The kit is specific for natural and recombinant human ACADM, which is described as a mitochondrial homotetramer that catalyses the initial step of fatty acid β-oxidation. It is intended for cardiovascular investigations, including the study of ACADM as a biomarker for metabolic disorders such as medium-chain acyl-CoA dehydrogenase deficiency, and is supplied for research use only.
