Human Mediator of RNA polymerase II transcription subunit 31 (MED31) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit enables quantitative detection of Mediator of RNA polymerase II transcription subunit 31 (MED31) in human samples. Validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, the assay is intended for research use only.

The kit reports a detection range of 1.56-100ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.39ng/mL. Precision performance is documented with an Intra CV of 4.6% and Inter CV of 8.3%. Linearity has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples across multiple dilutions, with recovery averaging 91% (range 85-97%) in serum and 93% (range 87-99%) in plasma.

MED31 is a component of the Mediator complex, a coactivator involved in the regulated transcription of nearly all RNA polymerase II-dependent genes, and is localised to the nucleus. The kit detects both natural and recombinant human MED31 (UniProt Q9Y3C7).
