Human MCM2 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, the Human MCM2 ELISA Kit is a sandwich ELISA employing a double antibody format for the in vitro quantitative determination of human MCM2 (Minichromosome Maintenance Complex Component 2) concentrations. The kit is suitable for serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants, as well as other biological fluids, and is intended for research use only.

Reported performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 46.875 pg/ml and an assay range of 78.125-5000 pg/ml. In spike-and-recovery experiments, average recoveries were 93% in serum (range 85-103%), 97% in EDTA plasma (range 93-102%), and 96% in UFH plasma (range 88-103%). Linearity was demonstrated across serial dilutions in the same matrices, and precision was reported as intra-assay CV <8% and inter-assay CV <10%. The kit is stored at 4°C for 6 months.

MCM2 is a mini-chromosome maintenance protein essential for the initiation of eukaryotic genome replication, allowing DNA to undergo a single round of replication per cell cycle. The protein is required for entry into S phase and for cell division, and dysregulation of MCM2 has been linked to diseases such as cancer and other proliferative disorders.
