Human MC5R/Melanocortin receptor 5 ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie, intended for research use only, for the in vitro quantitative determination of Human MC5R (Melanocortin receptor 5) concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. The immunoassay uses a double-antibody sandwich format and colorimetric detection, with absorbance read at 450 nm in a microplate reader.

Reported sensitivity is 0.469 ng/ml, with a working range of 0.781-50 ng/ml. Recovery was evaluated by spiking matrices with Human MC5R and comparing measured values to expected amounts; average recoveries were 94% for serum, 93% for EDTA plasma and 95% for UFH plasma. Linearity was assessed by serial dilution at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 across the same matrices. Precision is reported as intra-assay CV<8% and inter-assay CV<10%.

Components are intended for storage at 4°C for 6 months, with the lyophilized standard additionally storable at -20°C and light-sensitive reagents kept protected from light.
