Human Matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP9) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative detection of human Matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP9) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit shows specificity toward natural and recombinant human MMP9 and uses a colorimetric detection method.

The assay covers a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.056 ng/mL. Reported precision values are an intra-assay CV of 3.5% and an inter-assay CV of 7.0%. Linearity has been validated in serum (96–105% at 1:2, 106–115% at 1:4, 103–113% at 1:8, 89–98% at 1:16), EDTA plasma (103–112%, 102–111%, 97–108%, 91–101%), and heparin plasma (97–107%, 94–103%, 92–102%, 84–94%). Recovery in serum averages 98% (range 92–104%) and in plasma averages 100% (range 94–106%).

MMP9 is a zinc-binding metalloendopeptidase that plays a central role in local proteolysis of the extracellular matrix and in leukocyte migration, with documented involvement in tissue remodeling, wound healing, and inflammatory processes. Dysregulation has been implicated in cancer, arthritis, and cardiovascular disorders, making MMP9 a valuable biomarker for research. The kit is intended for research use only.
