Human Matrix metalloproteinase-28 (MMP28) ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Matrix metalloproteinase-28 (MMP-28) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. MMP-28, also known as Epilysin, is a secreted metalloendopeptidase that participates in extracellular matrix remodeling, with described roles in tissue homeostasis and repair, and has been implicated in conditions such as cancer, arthritis and inflammatory diseases. The kit is supplied for research use only.

Performance specifications include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.078 ng/mL, an intra-assay coefficient of variation of 4.3% and an inter-assay CV of 7.5%. The assay detects natural and recombinant human Matrix metalloproteinase-28 and is read at 450 nm. Associated protein data include UniProt accession Q9H239, with subcellular localization to the extracellular space and matrix, and reported molecular functions of zinc ion binding, metalloendopeptidase activity and calcium ion binding.

Linearity has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilution factors of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, with reported ranges of 84–93%, 90–100%, 106–116% and 96–106% for serum, 108–120%, 94–103%, 88–101% and 103–113% for EDTA plasma, and 108–120%, 85–95%, 102–114% and 105–117% for heparin plasma. Recovery averaged 95% (range 89–101%) in serum and 97% (range 91–103%) in plasma. Reagents include a dismountable ELISA microplate, lyophilized standard, sample and assay diluents, detection reagents A and B, wash buffer, substrate, stop solution and plate sealer, with storage temperatures specified per component.
