Membrane-type matrix metalloproteinase 14 (MMP14, also called MT1-MMP) is a zinc-dependent endopeptidase anchored at the cell surface that drives pericellular proteolysis, angiogenesis, tumor cell invasion, and extracellular matrix remodeling. This quantitative immunoassay from Assay Genie enables researchers to measure human MMP14 protein levels in cell culture supernatants, primary tissue lysates, and conditioned media collected from fibroblasts, endothelial cells, and carcinoma lines.

Each kit supplies 96 assays configured for high-throughput screening of disease cohorts and time-course experiments. Pre-coated wells, matched detection antibody, recombinant standard, chromogenic substrate, and stop reagent are supplied ready for in vitro research use only, with all components validated for batch-to-batch reproducibility.

MMP14 quantification is widely applied to studies of metastatic potential, cartilage breakdown in osteoarthritis, wound healing kinetics, and MMP inhibitor pharmacology. Researchers should refrigerate the kit upon receipt, avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles of the reconstituted standard, and equilibrate reagents to room temperature before each run to preserve antibody immunoreactivity across the full standard curve.
