Human Matrilysin (MMP7) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative detection of human Matrilysin (MMP7). MMP7 is a matrix metalloproteinase that degrades casein, fibronectin, and gelatins of types I, III, IV, and V, and activates procollagenase. It is involved in tissue remodeling, wound healing, and inflammation, and abnormal levels have been linked to cancer, inflammatory disorders, and tissue injuries, making the kit a useful tool for studying MMP7 biology and its implications in various pathological conditions.

The assay is for use with human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants, and other biological fluids, and shows specificity for natural and recombinant human Matrilysin. Reported performance includes a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.079 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 6.2%, and an inter-assay CV of 9.8%. Linearity in serum (n=5) ranges from 99–123% across dilutions of 1:2 to 1:16, with EDTA and heparin plasma within comparable ranges. Average recovery is 98% (range 92–104%) in serum and 100% (range 94–106%) in plasma.
