Matrin 3 (MATR3) is a multifunctional nuclear RNA- and DNA-binding protein involved in pre-mRNA splicing, transcript stabilization, and structural organization of the nuclear matrix. Mutations in the MATR3 gene have been associated with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), distal myopathy type 2, and certain forms of vocal cord and pharyngeal weakness, making MATR3 protein quantification of interest in neurodegeneration and neuromuscular disease research.

This Assay Genie immunoassay enables quantitative measurement of human MATR3 in research specimens using a chromogenic microplate-based format suitable for in vitro studies. Each kit is supplied as a microplate configuration and is intended for research use only. Reagents should be refrigerated upon arrival and protected from light, and all components should equilibrate to room temperature before running the assay. The protocol follows standard plate immunoassay workflows: dispense standards and samples onto the pre-coated wells, incubate, wash, introduce detection reagents, and record absorbance.
