Human MAT1A/S-adenosylmethionine synthase isoform type-1 ELISA Kit

Manufacturer-reported performance includes a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a working range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. Linearity at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions is reported as 88–98% / 85–100% / 83–97% for serum (n=5), 89–101% / 87–97% / 83–100% for EDTA plasma (n=5) and 86–102% / 87–99% / 80–93% for heparin plasma (n=5). Recovery is reported as 87–97% (average 90%) for serum (n=5), 87–104% (average 96%) for EDTA plasma (n=5) and 98–104% (average 100%) for heparin plasma (n=5). Storage is 2–8°C for up to 12 months.

MAT1A (S-adenosylmethionine synthase isoform type-1; UniProt Q00266; also known as AMS1, MATA1, AdoMet synthase 1 and methionine adenosyltransferase 1) is the enzyme that catalyses synthesis of S-adenosylmethionine (SAMe), the principal methyl donor for cellular methylation reactions. The kit is offered for research into MAT1A expression levels in the context of liver disorders, metabolic syndromes and certain cancers, where MAT1A dysregulation has been linked to disease.
