Quantitative measurement of MAP/Microtubule Affinity-Regulating Kinase 2 (MARK2) in human-derived research specimens is supported by this enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay kit from Assay Genie. MARK2, also referenced in the literature as PAR1 or EMK1, is a serine/threonine kinase implicated in tau phosphorylation, microtubule organization, neuronal polarity, and cell cycle progression, making it a target of interest in neurodegeneration, Alzheimer's research, and cell signaling studies.
The kit includes all reagents required for in vitro quantification of MARK2 and is supplied in a 96 Assays format. Intended for research use only, applications include quantitative analysis of MARK2 expression in cell culture lysates and tissue homogenates, as well as time-course studies exploring kinase regulation under varying pharmacological or genetic perturbations.
Components should be equilibrated to room temperature before use, and refrigerated storage between runs is recommended. Repeated freeze-thaw cycles of prepared standards should be avoided to preserve binding performance. The microplate-based workflow and accompanying protocol support consistent inter-assay reproducibility and align with common laboratory infrastructure for kinase biomarker profiling.
