Marapsin is a trypsin-fold serine protease preferentially expressed in pancreatic acinar cells and in stratified squamous epithelium of skin and esophagus, making it relevant to inflammatory, dermatological, and gastrointestinal research programs.

Run on a standard microplate with a colorimetric readout, the assay provides enough reagents for 96 determinations per kit. Absorbance values correlate with marapsin concentration, allowing interpolation against a standard curve generated in the matching sample matrix.
