Human Mammaglobin-A (SCGB2A2) ELISA Kit

Designed for the precise measurement of human mammaglobin A (SCGB2A2) levels, this Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is intended for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay reacts with natural and recombinant human mammaglobin-A, and the target is also known by the synonyms Mammoglobin-1, Secretoglobin family 2A member 2, MGB1 and UGB2. Mammaglobin A is a protein commonly found in breast tissue that has been identified as a potential marker for breast cancer, and monitoring its levels can be valuable in cancer research, early detection and treatment monitoring.

The kit reports a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.097ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 5.3% and inter-assay CV is 9.4%. Linearity has been validated in serum (95-120%), EDTA plasma (85-119%) and heparin plasma (84-117%) across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16. Spike-and-recovery averages are 98% for serum (range 92-104%) and 100% for plasma (range 94-106%). The kit is for research use only.

SCGB2A2 belongs to the secretoglobin family, lipophilin subfamily, with two isoforms produced by alternative splicing. The protein has a molecular weight of 10,122 Da and is encoded at chromosomal location 11q13 (NCBI Gene ID: 4250; UniProt: Q13296).
