Human Malate dehydrogenase, mitochondrial (MDH2) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers this Sandwich ELISA Kit for the quantitative measurement of human Malate dehydrogenase, mitochondrial (MDH2) levels in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants, and other biological fluids. MDH2 is a mitochondrial enzyme that catalyzes the reversible oxidation of malate to oxaloacetate in the citric acid cycle, and its dysregulation has been implicated in metabolic disorders, neurodegenerative diseases, and cancer.

The assay provides a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.16ng/mL. Reported intra-assay CV is 6.3% and inter-assay CV is 9.2%. Recovery averaged 98% (range 92-104%) in serum and 100% (range 94-106%) in plasma. Linearity assessments across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions yielded ranges of 81-115% in serum, 81-119% in EDTA plasma, and 86-109% in heparin plasma. The kit is specific for natural and recombinant human MDH2, a homodimer localized to the mitochondrial matrix (UniProt P40926).
