Human Major vault protein (MVP) ELISA Kit

This Assay Genie Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of Human Major vault protein (MVP) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay reports a sensitivity of 0.056ng/mL, a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL, and detects both natural and recombinant human MVP with high specificity.

Quality control data include an intra-assay CV of 5.4% and an inter-assay CV of 9.9%. Linearity was assessed by serial dilution of spiked samples, yielding recoveries of 85-94%, 84-93%, 98-108% and 90-101% for serum at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions; 101-101%, 115-125%, 107-118% and 92-101% for EDTA plasma; and 95-103%, 86-98%, 114-124% and 95-104% for heparin plasma. Spike-and-recovery testing returned average recoveries of 100% (range 94-106%) for serum and 102% (range 96-108%) for plasma. The kit is for research use only and targets the MVP protein (UniProt Q14764).

Major Vault Protein is the principal component of vault ribonucleoprotein particles, multi-subunit structures implicated in nucleo-cytoplasmic transport, signal transduction and multidrug resistance, with expression reported as a prognostic marker for several types of cancer.
