MAGEB4 (also annotated as CT3.6 or MGC33144) maps to the Xp22-p21 cluster of cancer-testis antigens, where MAGEB family members share 50-68% sequence identity and concentrate their entire open reading frame within a terminal exon. The recombinant calibrator used in the standard curve corresponds to the full-length 346-residue human protein, which migrates near 40.8 kDa on SDS-PAGE.
