Human Macrophage mannose receptor 1 (MRC1) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of human Macrophage mannose receptor 1 (MRC1), also known as CD206. The kit is intended for research use only and is suited to immunology research, including studies of MRC1 dysregulation in cancer, autoimmune disorders and inflammatory conditions.

Validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, the assay is specific for natural and recombinant human MRC1. The reported detection range is 0.156-10ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.098ng/mL. Precision is reported with an intra-assay CV of 4.4% and an inter-assay CV of 7.9%. Recovery in serum averages 86% (range 80-92%) and in plasma averages 88% (range 82-94%). The colorimetric reaction is read at 450 nm on a standard microplate reader.

MRC1 mediates the endocytosis of glycoproteins by macrophages, binding both sulfated and non-sulfated polysaccharide chains, and acts as a phagocytic receptor for bacteria, fungi and other pathogens. It is a single-pass type I membrane protein localised to the endosome and cell membranes, has a molecular weight of 166 kDa, and is catalogued at UniProt P22897.
